Boating Holidays from Bridge Boatyard

Start your boating holiday from Bridge Boatyard in the very heart of the peaceful and picturesque Fenland waterways. We have a range of holiday cruisers from 2 to 6 berth, plus two narrowboats for hire which can accommodate up to 4 people. All of our boats are well-fitted out to make you holiday a comfortable and memorable experience.

We are based on the banks of the River Ouse in Ely, Cambridgeshire - an historic city dominated by a magnificent Cathedral. From here you can explore 150 miles of tranquil, unspoilt rivers which take you through low-lying Fenland areas, or visit some of the local towns and cities, including Cambridge.

Narrowboat Holidays

We have two narrowboats for hire in our fleet, the first is the 62ft narrowboat Chianti, which was new to us in 2009. The second is the 52ft narrowboat Shiraz, which is new to us in 2010. Both are built to a high specification and include central heating (via radiators), a shower and flush toilet, plus a fully equipped galley, with Chianti able to accomodate 4-6 people, and Shiraz 2-5 people.

About Your Boating Holiday

Depending on the boat you require, your holiday can start on a Friday, Saturday, Monday or Tuesday. Pick up time is from 1pm (with instruction available from 2pm). Holidays can be for 3, 4 or 7 nights, or any combinations of these to make a longer break.

Pets are welcome on most of our boats. The area is ideal for fishing (in season) and bird watching, as well as walking and exploring some of the areas many historic towns and cities - including Cambridge, Ely, and St. Ives.

The boatyard is located next to a superstore, so you can pick up some supplies locally before setting off on your holiday.

Our boats are all well equipped, and include:

• Refrigerator, cooker and heating
• TV, hairdryer and CD radio
• Bed linen
• Shower and flush toilet
• A map of the river
• A 12V socket for charging mobile phones (car lead required)
• Insurance
• Fresh fruit and chocolates

Parking is available at the boatyard for 2 cars per booking, and rowing dinghies are available for an extra charge.
